We know we say this often, but life’s all about moments. There are moments in your life that you never want to forget.
When we heard Layton’s daughter was going to her first school formal this year, we knew that was going to be one of those moments.
We’re always talking about how important it is to capture these moments and how quickly kids grow up, so of course it goes without saying that we wanted to make sure we captured this as well.
We’ve also been itching to do some graduate or senior portraits whilst creating some environmental portraits to add to our portfolio, so this was the perfect opportunity all round.
We offered Gemma and her friends a full photo session before they headed off to the formal, which they happily accepted.
Thankfully the weather held off just long enough for us to get this collection of shots.
Thanks also have to go to the girls for being such great models. You all looked absolutely stunning. Although we should really apologise to Jamie, she’s the only one that didn’t end up with a nickname on the night.
As you can see from this collection school formals can be the perfect time to get photos of your children all dressed up and looking fancy, but most of all it’s a chance to capture those moments that you’ll never be able to recreate.
Like the moment you see your daughter all dressed up for the school formal and get choked up when you realise how grown up she is and what a beautiful woman she’s becoming. Absolutely priceless!
